Our 16 oz. soy candle burns 60+ hours! Burn candle a minimum of 1 hour to allow the melt pool to reach the edge and a maximum of 4 hours for safety always on a heat proof surface. There is no need to trim the wick when burned properly. Avoid burning the jar candle for longer than recommended as extreme heat may cause the wick to shift from the middle or damage the container. Do not move the candle while lit to avoid injury and to prevent the fragrance oil from splashing on the wick, which may make it challenging to light the next time. Stop burning your candle once the wax reaches the wick clip at the bottom (approximately 1/4 inch of wax will be left in the bottom). Sometimes it is necessary to relight the wick if it burns out immediately after lighting as charred wood is more difficult to catch. Make sure to ignite the wick fully with a long neck lighter to create a steady flame.
